uBlock Origin is a content blocker. On Firefox (and still on Edge) the full extension can use the filter lists that made it the default recommendation. Chrome’s Manifest V3 rules pushed the full version out of the Chrome Web Store in 2026; Chromium users are left with uBlock Origin Lite, which is weaker.
Free, open source, no paid tier. It is not a focus app: it will not stop you opening Twitter. Pair it with LeechBlock or StayFocusd for that.
